About the Role

A growing national provider of facility services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to play a key role in financial operations, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is analytical, experienced in GAAP, and confident working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, and developing financial models to assist in data-driven decision-making. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness

• Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning

• Partner with department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts

• Analyze budget vs. actual results and provide clear variance analysis and insights

• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate cash flow reports

• Produce financial reports and dashboards for senior leadership

• Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with GAAP

• Support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation

• Recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy

• Work closely with teams across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Operations, and Procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including budgeting and forecasting

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls

• Experience in building and managing financial models for strategic planning

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or equivalent)

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling functions

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
