Job Description \n \n \n Job Summary Details: \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The School Custodian performs general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 school, college or university campus environment.\n \n \n \n \n Location: 38201 W Indian School Rd, Tonopah, AZ 85354 Shift:Monday - Friday 3pm-11:30pm Payrate: $15.15 Hourly \n \n The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. For information about ABM’s benefits, visitABM Employee Benefits| Front Line Team Members| (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) \n \n \n Basic Qualifications: \n \n \n \n \n \n \n • Must be 18 years of age or older\n \n \n • No experience required and on the job training provided.\n \n \n • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Preferred Qualifications: \n \n \n \n \n \n \n • Prior customer service experience\n \n \n • One (1) year of prior similar work experience.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Responsibilities: \n \n \n \n \n \n \n • Clean and maintain assigned area, which may include classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, office, and stairways\n \n \n • Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas\n \n \n • Regularly check trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all designated areas\n \n \n • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures\n \n \n • Notify lead cleaner or manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems\n \n \n • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.\n \n \n • Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles\n \n \n • Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceiling, and walls\n \n \n • Polish hard surfaces, e.g. woodwork, stainless steel surfaces\n \n \n • Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas\n \n \n • Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks\n \n \n • Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees\n \n \n • Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks\n \n \n • Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms (clean and polish as needed)\n \n \n • Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities\n \n \n \n \n \n \n A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
