This role is essential for maintaining our high standards for accuracy, style, and quality across all of our digital content.This is a remote, part-time position and will be based on the Eastern Time Zone schedule.Responsibilities:As the final line of defense, you will be responsible for ensuring all published content is flawless:Copyedit a wide range of content, including editorial pieces, show titles and descriptions, and social media posts.Coordinate copy flow and deadlines with editors and fact-checkers.Utilize WordPress to build, format, and maintain pages on our website.Vet stories with an eye toward journalistic values, taste, legal sensitivity, and elegant sentence construction.Demonstrate the versatility to quickly edit a news-oriented post or deeply edit a reported feature.Qualifications:Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a copy editor for a daily publication or fast-paced editorial environment.
