Our client, a leader in commercial real estate, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Meeting and Events Planner to join their dynamic team in New York, NY . This is a full-time, onsite position primarily during normal business hours with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and possible overtime based on event schedules. This position starts as a 1.5-month contract opportunity and pays $28-30 per hour based on experience. This position offers a unique opportunity to support a visible, fast-paced, and high-profile client environment where hospitality, professionalism, and seamless event execution are paramount. The Meeting & Events Planner will play a strategic and organizational role, managing event logistics, coordinating vendors, and ensuring flawless delivery of meetings and events from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, and coordinate meetings and events ranging from 10 to 150 attendees, including high-profile leadership and VIP guests.
• Oversee event logistics, timelines, and coordination between vendors, property management, insurance partners, and catering companies.
• Manage event budgeting, invoicing, and documentation to ensure accurate financial and operational tracking.
• Serve as the organizational liaison across teams—ensuring accountability, clear communication, and timely follow-up on deliverables.
• Maintain event schedules and ensure proper breakdown and turnover of spaces for back-to-back events.
• Ensure all client-facing interactions and on-site engagements uphold the brand’s image and standards.
• Attend and support events as needed during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Provide clear communication and reporting to leadership on event progress, schedules, and vendor performance.
Qualifications
• Experience in event planning, coordination, or hospitality management, ideally at a corporate or high-profile level.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating sports activations, corporate events, or luxury brand experiences preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident and polished client presence.
• Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with event management tools a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.

• Background in hospitality, concierge services, or high-end retail/fashion environments.
• Experience managing external vendors and event agencies.
• Ability to adapt to shifting schedules and maintain composure under pressure.
• Professional discretion and an understanding of how to represent the brand appropriately in various environments.
