The Waukesha Education Foundation Inc. (WEF) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides grants to teachers and staff members in the School District of Waukesha to fund innovative projects, programs, and initiatives not covered under traditional budgets. These grants enhance the learning experience for students by extending the curriculum and introducing new tools, technology or resources. Some examples of past grants we have awarded include drones for students to learn programming, 3D printers, indoor hydroponic gardens and hands-on STEM activities. We also award scholarships to high school seniors to help fund their post-secondary plans. In total, since 2002, WEF has awarded over $850,000 in classroom grants and scholarships.

Overall, we’re seeking individuals who support education, have an interest in impacting local students and teachers, want to gain leadership experience, and want to apply their skills towards a meaningful cause. Joining our organization would also be a great professional development experience for young professionals. Both our board member and committee member positions are volunteer roles.
